 Cross Country Report

On Friday, twelve Vineyard children from Year 5 and 6 took part in the Richmond Schools Sports Partnership Primary Cross Country Event in Richmond Park. The teams of six girls – Amirah, Arte, Freya, Ruth, Tilly and Violet – and six boys – Alistair, Jack, James, Kabir, Luke and Stefan – competed against 31 other schools in the borough over the 1.5 course in Richmond Park.

Our results were outstanding with all children completing the course in excellent times and within or at the head of the main body of runners.  With over 180 competitors in the boy’s race and over 160 in the girl’s race, a result in the top 50 is impressive and six of our team achieved that.

The progress made in this event over the past four years is something of which we should all feel very proud and is summarized as follows:
