- Reminder-all reading books are changed on a Thursday and returned on Fridays

-If you have any Victorian toys you are willing to lend Year 1 for our history lesson. Please email year1@

- Please ensure your child's reading record is in their bag everyday

Year 1

It has been a wonderful second week in Year 1, we have particularly enjoyed starting our cookery lessons in DT and trying different fruits and vegetables! 

In maths we have been continuing to practise our number bonds to 10 in our KIRFs sessions and have been adding 2 numbers together using using  a tens frame.

In English we have started a new book called Little Red and the Hungry Lion and have been making predictions about what might happen in the story. 

In RE we explored the creation story from the Jewish, Christian and Islamic faiths and discussed what happened on the 7 different days.

Year 2

It has been a fantastic week back, Year 2 are back to the swing of things! In English we are starting a new book called “The journey home’ and learning about different types of sentences. 

In maths, we have been courageous in our addition and subtraction. We have been adding and subtracting by crossing ten.

We have started new wider curriculum subjects this half term. In history we have started out topic on Might Monarchs and learning about the last 4 Monarchs of Great Britain. In RE we have been discussing how different religions celebrate.

In DT we are making pizza! This week we we learning all about pizzas and discussing our opinions.
