This week in Gems, we have been exploring different ways we can show kindness to others. The children shared lots of lovely ideas, such as being a kind friend, helping a friend, sharing a toy with a friend and using kind words. We also talked about how nice it is to share a smile with a friend or help them when they are hurt.
As part of our work on the Zones of Regulation, we described how each colour makes us feel. Some children showed their understanding by explaining the emotion that was linked to each colour..
In art, we learned about the artist Kandinsky and created our own beautiful Kandinsky-inspired artwork. The children enjoyed exploring shapes, colour, and creativity in their pieces.
