Gems News

Read on to find out what has been happening in Gems this week.

For more information on your child’s learning this week, please check the ‘Latest News’ section for their year group - Reception or KS1.

The children have all been working really hard learning the songs and lines for their different Christmas productions. We are very excited to show you our performances next week!

In maths, we have enjoyed learning about measurements of length this week. We explored key words such as long and short, then learned how to compare objects using short, shorter, shortest and long, longer, longest. We also learnt the words tall, taller, and tallest.

We even had a competition to see who could build the tallest tower! When the towers became too tall, we laid them on the ground and continued building to see who could make the longest rod. Some children worked independently, while others chose to work with a friend.
