For more information on your child’s learning this week, please check the ‘Latest News’ section for their year group - Reception or KS1.

Happy New Year!

It has been wonderful to welcome the children back to school and hear all about their holiday adventures.

The children have quickly settled back into the school routine and have enjoyed seeing their friends again. We have made some changes to the layout in Gems, and the children have eagerly adapted to the new environment.

We have also introduced workstations, allowing the children to access activities tailored to their individual development. These stations support independence and encourage the children to engage confidently with their learning.

Messages:

Thank you to the families that regularly read and return your child’s reading folder on Mondays.

Can I please ask all the parents to please read with your child at home at least 5 times a week and return the signed reading record folders weekly.  This is a very important part of your child’s reading journey.

In addition you can enjoy reading other stories to them, stop half way through and you can both predict the ending, talk about the story making links to other books, can they retell the story? Can they answer a few retrieval questions?
