Introducing Mrs Cox to year 4 as part of careers day. Mrs Cox is currently running a weekly Friday AM Food Confidence club for KS2, and has recently written the menu for the extended day provision (EDP). Mrs Cox will be on site three times a week, with some exciting whole school projects on the horizon.

As a school we want to increase the number of children attending extracurricular sessions.
As years 3, 4 & 5 go to the Barnes Literary Festival this week, a competition will be beginning in our school library. This summer, the children will have a chance to vote in the SPARK book awards. There are four categories: early readers, 7+ readers and 9+ readers. Children simply vote for their favourite book!

Exciting news, we have some reading trips fast approaching! Years 3,4 & 5 will be attending some Barnes Literature Festival talks in Twickenham and Hammersmith. Year 3 will be watching Philip Reeve and Sarah McIntyre, whose books are engaging and hilarious!

Not only are there school author talks, but there are also talks at the weekend (21st & 22nd of June) for children to attend. Performing this year are authors, such as David Walliams, MC Grammar, M G Leonard, Aardman studios and Pamela Butchart.
