Behaviour for Learning
We aspire to create a positive environment for learning where children achieve; feel included and valued; feel happy and secure; where they experience and develop high self-esteem and confidence in their own abilities. At The Vineyard, we follow a carefully designed behaviour policy based around promoting positive behaviours that lead to effective learning (i.e. behaviour for learning).
In addition to our Promoting Positive Behaviour and Discipline Policy, our anti-bullying and use of physical restraint policies establish, maintain and reinforce positive behaviour. All members of the school community will learn and be reminded of our Vineyard Values in every aspect of school life including the way in which we behave towards one another.
Our focus on 'behaviour for learning', utilising 21st Century skills, enables children to map their personal competencies, skills and dispositions necessary to enable them to learn and to negotiate the complex information and cultural landscapes of a globalised world.
