It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to The Vineyard School. Our school is nestled at the top of Richmond Hill and situated within stunning grounds. The Vineyard has been proudly educating children locally in Richmond for over 160 years, finding its final home on our current school site here on Friars Stile Road.

At the EDP the children have been loving making their own nutritious snacks! Thanks to @katecoxnutrition for supporting us with this! The children have made raw pizzas, avocado on toast, banana split and much more, they are delicious! The children have even been requesting to make these snacks at home!

Congratulations to the Netball and Tag Rugby teams which both made it through to the quarter-finals of the Richmond leagues.
Super Saturday Update There are 381 families in our school community. For a minimum contribution of £6.00 per family the grounds will remain open for the remainder of this academic year. It might be that Saturdays do not fit in with your family calendar this year. However, I would ask that you consider whether you think the idea is a good one, and one that you could support for others to enjoy. A school money reminder will be sent for you to click in to next week - Ms Foster
We are always on the lookout for new authors that they children enjoy reading and this week the author Pamela Butchart. Her books are funny and are similar but a level up to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.
Defne and Silas in Sapphire recommend:
The Spy Who Loved School Dinners by Pamela Butchart
Reading Age: year 2 - 5
Genre: mystery, comedy & illustration
If your child has enjoyed learning about a topic in history, geography, science or any other subject then look at this website to find books linked to their learning: https://www.booksfortopics.com/booklists/books-by-age-and-year-group/ks2/
The holidays can be a fantastic time to deepen interests or read around a topic ready to come back to school with a wealth of knowledge.
