This week, during the career fair, we were lucky enough to have some inspirational scientists come in and visit us. For that reason, our book this week will be about some inspirational scientists who led the way in the space race and expedition to the moon in 1969.

Introducing Mrs Cox to year 4 as part of careers day. Mrs Cox is currently running a weekly Friday AM Food Confidence club for KS2, and has recently written the menu for the extended day provision (EDP). Mrs Cox will be on site three times a week, with some exciting whole school projects on the horizon.

As a school we want to increase the number of children attending extracurricular sessions.
As years 3, 4 & 5 go to the Barnes Literary Festival this week, a competition will be beginning in our school library. This summer, the children will have a chance to vote in the SPARK book awards. There are four categories: early readers, 7+ readers and 9+ readers. Children simply vote for their favourite book!
